La magia della musica oltre le parole. Sarà perchè il sig. Johan Hedberg è svedese ma sembra di fare un tuffo dritti dritti nella colonna sonora e nelle atmosfere (un po' Elton John anni '70, no?) de Le Onde del Destino, anche se Trier è danese, lo so, ma sembra di essere da quelle parti.

XTC - Merely a Man

Una di quelle canzoni che mette buon umore già solo per la musica. Il testo, poi, aiuta: un bel manifesto alla semplicità della vita.

So che per i puristi non è il miglior album degli XTC, ma Oranges & Lemons, lo trovo personalmente stupendo. Non una pecca, a partire dalla copertina fino all'ultima nota, incisa sul doppio album (unico cd).

Christine Owman - Familiar Act (feat. Mark Lanegan... di qua, Mark Lanegan di la...)

Brano che alla distanza stanca nonostante l'interessante avvio. Un po' come il gioco del Barcellona, bello ma dopo la visione di un paio di partite l'entusiasmo si acquatta sotto i tacchi. Certo Lanegan avrebbe dovuto e potuto dare qualcosa in più ma questo non è proprio l'anno di Messi. Intanto segnalo egualmente questo album della svedese Christine Owman dal titolo Little Beast nel quale c'è un Lanegan-bis nella canzone One of the Folks che non ho ancora ascoltato, così come il resto del disco, a causa della chiusura di molti siti per il download illegale. E nemmeno spotify è dalla Mia.

A proposito dell'ex Screaming Trees è uscito anche il suo nuovo album scritto e cantato insieme a Duke Garwood dal titolo Black Pudding. Litania a 4 mani. Lo streaming intero lo trovate QUI'.
