Beat Radio – Days Like Diamonds

Un altro piccolo, grande gioiello. Vero. Mi riesce sempre più difficile trovare di questi tempi un album in grado di ottenere le dovute attenzioni per la durata del disco intero, ma se trovi l'ostrica giusta, becchi anche la perla giusta. I newyorkesi Beat Radio, già usciti nel 2010 con l'album Golden Age (lo streaming è QUI'), hanno tirato fuori l'Ep Hard Times Go, part 2, quale antipasto del disco prossimo a venire (del di cui streaming) ed è un delizioso ritrovato pop di "bassa fedeltà" ma di grande qualità (diciamo un Damien Jurado in stato di grazia). Che incanta, in particolare con la Days Like Diamonds che vi propongo, con la voce dolente del frontman Brian Sendrowits che sa bene quali sono le corde giuste da toccare. Completamente rapito...in modalità repeat. Buon ascolto.
